Chris Griffith now serves as Elementary Orchestra Director in Yorkville, IL at Bristol Bay Elementary School and Grande Reserve Elementary School. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Illinois State University. 

After graduating from ISU in 2009 Mr. Griffith served as the Elementary Orchestra Director in Yorkville, IL at Autumn Creek Elementary School (2009-2016), Grande Reserve Elementary School (2009-2011), and Yorkville Intermediate School (2011-2016) for seven years. He then found a home in Batavia, directing orchestras at Rotolo Middle School (2016-2019) for three years prior to starting his position at Batavia High School (2019-2020). In 2020 he returned to Yorkville to serve as Elementary Orchestra Director at Bristol Bay Elementary School and Grande Reserve Elementary School. 

Mr. Griffith lives in Aurora, IL with his wife, Nissa, two cats, Chainsaw and Spaghetti, and two dogs, Zissou and Bishop. He enjoys hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, and reading about psychology, neuroscience, science fiction and fantasy, and playing video games. He also maintains an active performing schedule playing with the Fox Valley Orchestra and the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and a private studio where he teaches Double Bass.
